Xyplex right? i definately saw problems with kpasswd and xyplex using eBones
and libdes which is NOT (repeat NOT) the US-available stuff. Still, it
does say you're not alone.

I found linking kpasswd against DEC kerberos libraries on ultrix worked for
me, until a real fix eventuated (why i regret to admit I have forgotten,
although you might want to replace lib/des under your K4 source for starters
since in my case, it was incorrect bytesex in the 8-byte CFB checksum being
sent) so that may be worth a try.

DEC athena includes kpasswd which works with xyplex as well.
