I have just installed kerberos, and I am confused about something.
I have the program kinit in /usr/athena/bin/kinit, and there also
seems to be a copy in /usr/athena/kinit.
The copy in /usr/athena/kinit does not seem to be accessing the right
database. I always get a password incorrect error when I shouldn't.
When I use /usr/athena/bin/kinit, the wierd thing is that it works for
a while, and then after a while, it says:
[82] barnone:/usr/athena> kinit

Kerberos name: dude
kinit: Retry count exceeded (send_to_kdc)
Has anyone experienced this before?
I guess my questions are: Do I execute the programs from the
[USER] (in my case /usr/athena) directory as described in the
operation notes, or from the /usr/athena/bin directory? What
are the differences, and why are they both there? How come
sometimes kinit works, and then all of a sudden, I get the above
error? Has anyone else encountered these problems?
