Thanks. I'll look at it. Since I was really stuffing the sample_{client/server}
code into the ftp/ftpd programs I wanted to make as little changes to both
the client and server as possible. Sending the authenticator over data
connection seemed like the quickest and easiest method. As people have
pointed out, its probably not the safest way to do it.
