We have just spent a little time setting up kerberos as distributed by
DEC with Ultrix, and testing it using kinit. We find that on the KDC
and on a client, we are only able to obntain a ticket granting ticket
when we execute kinit as root; for other users it does:
$ kinit
Kerberos Initialization
Kerberos name: john
Password:
kinit: Generic error (get_intkt)
Being inexperienced with Kerberos, we thought we would ask. Any ideas?
(Does anyone know if kerberos distributed by DEC with Ultrix should work?)
