Hello, I am currently researching a method to update an Active Directory
user object using a pure java implementation. Using the interfaces provided,
I have been unable to provide the proper pre-authentication information for
the KDC and have repeatedly been rejected with error code 24. After
researching this problem, I have failed to find any meaningful solution, and
am inquiring as to the current state of java Microsoft-style Kerberos
preauthentication and encryption types. Also in my research I have found
that rc4 and hmac encryption types are not supported by the java security
libraries, even as of the 1.5.0 release. If this is the case, is there an
expected timeline to implement these types? If there is currently a solution
to this problem, would you please send me the information and/or a link to
it. Thank you for any help you can provide in this matter.
