What is particularly bizarre is that the de-regulation of encryption used
for end-user authentication is frequently being hinted at, and for reasons
I stated you can argue most strongly for supporting free access to this
technology, if only to protect existing investment in onshore USA govt funded
works such as NASA and USGS, both of whom have been under sustained attack
from within my part of the internet-at-large.

Thus, I am seeking something which one government instrumentality denys me
from concerns for national security, whilst other government instrumentalities
actively seek it to be made available to me for exactly the same reason...
