I have built Kerberos v4 at patchlevel 9 on a Sun OS 4.1.2
system. Most things appear to be working fine, but I have two
questions:
o Rlogin does not recognize window resize events. It appears
that rlogind should be sending an out of band request back to
rlogin so it will catch the SIGWINCH signal to send window
change events. If I issue a kill -USR1 nnn to the writer
rlogin process, i.e. the one that's the parent, it will turn
on the SIGWINCH signal routine and everything works. It looks
like either rlogind, or login should be sending this out of
band request back to rlogin, but they don't. Any ideas?
o We have a number of domains and so an Internet names looks like:
node.division.anl.gov. There are duplicate node names in some
of these divisions. I would like to run with a single realm
of ANL.GOV. kadmin will let me enter node\.division to get a
period in the instance, but rlogin insists on only
sending node. How can I get rlogin and its friends to use
node.division or even node.division.anl.gov and still work
with other sites which may not have this problem?
