In the UK (and other countries) you can get kerberos from ftp.funet.fi in
/pub/unix/security/kerberos.
This seems to be a version 4 implementation (ie `bones'), however it doesn't
correspond very well with the MIT documentation (sigh) and although I
compiled it all ok on a SPARC (SunOS4.1.1), it didn't want to run
(arithmetic exception in one of the programs - can't remember which).

You can get an implementation of the DES library from the same place.
Getting these files wasn't illegal last time I did it - don't blame me if it
