How to run the simple server?

I have follow the Operation Notes to setup the sample server.
But when I run the sample client, the error message show up..
connect: Connection refused
I am using the K4, which is installed on machine A. And the
sample server is on the machine B. I have make the srvtab for
the machine B, but it still does not work.
Another question is when I install the sample server on machine A,
and run the client on A, too. Another message show ..
sample_client: cannot authenticat to server: Principal unknown(kerberos)
Any suggestion will be appricated.
Ps: The machine is Sun which run Sun OS 4.1.1 and have no yp.
