I wanted to do the same for testing Kerberos on a FreeBSD machine at home.
If you build from source after removing the #ifdef IFF_LOOPBACK/#endif
sections from src/kdc/network.c and src/lib/krb5/os/localaddr.c then it
listens on the loopback interface.
