The browser is a crock that never worked really well, and was desupported at
MIT Athena because no one bothered to update it when newer versions of X came
out, and when other parts of Zephyr evolved (evolutions which will, I hope,
eventually be made available on athena-dist; the newest version of Zephyr in
use at Athena is FAR better than what's on athena-dist, but we haven't had
time to package it appropriately for distribution).
You can't compile it because it's trying to use the X11R3 widgets, which were
quite different and had a different include structure. My advice? Don't
bother with it; it really isn't worth it.
Incidentally, there are at least two mailing lists at MIT that deal with
zephyr -- zephyr@mit.edu and zephyr-comments@mit.edu.
