I understand that both OSF & UI Unix consortium's have endorsed Kerberos
for authentication in their respective distributed computing environments.
Can anyone advise me as to the status of being able to export Kerberos based
products from the US due to the export restrictions on cryptographic products.
I believe that there was an attempt mid last year by certain companies to get
an allowance to export Kerberos without its algorithm's but that this failed.
Is there any change in this position and if not, what do OSF & UI members
plan for non-US markets wrt Kerberos based products.
