After building and installing the Kerberos software, I get the following
error when I run kdb_edit:
>
> Opening database...
>
> Enter Kerberos master key:
>
> verify_master_key: kerberos error on master key version lookup, 0 found.
>
When I ran kdb_init, I received no error messages, and it created the files
/kerberos/principal.dir 4096 bytes;
/kerberos/principal.pag 0 bytes;
/kerberos/principal.ok 0 bytes.
The error I get when running kdb_edit occurs whether I enter the same
master key as entered in kdb_init or not. The same error also occurs
if I try to run kstash.
Background: I am using Kerberos in an AIX environment on PS/2's.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what may be causing this?
