Help needed ! Installing in AIX

I am currently working on implementing the MIT distribution of
Kerberos version 4 here at Tulane and I am having quite a bit of
difficulty. Our environment contains 3 PS/2's and an IBM 370 all
running together under AIX.
My problems have been cropping up in the installation process, such
as the installation software not knowing that our environment is
REDUCED_TO_ASCII_SPACE or not knowing about other OS configuration items.
It is very time consuming to track each problem by hand. Has anyone
encountered these problems or tried to implement Kerberos in an AIX
environment? Are there any patches available which make it easier to
install in the AIX world? Any direction, suggestions, or help would
be appreciated immensely.
