please note that kerberos version 5 will allow client workstations to provide
authenticated services ( like X service, rlogind, etc.) without need for clients'
srvtabs. indeed, the mechanism will support such services on athena's own public
workstations.
p.s.: athena has 487 private workstations (~35% of total), as of today's count.
