Another question you might add to this week's assignment -- before your
survey participants view the Product Support Sheets, ask them what they
would expect to find on this type of page. If you have already done your
interviews, don't worry about this.
The assignment, just to recap:
Set up appointments with two MIT people outside of IS (one an average user,
the other more technically savvy). Take them to the main Product Support
Sheet page at http://training.mit.edu/products/test.html. Your choice of
users will presumably dictate whether they choose the Macintosh or Windows
link. Let them explore a bit and then get their reaction to the opening
Macintosh or Windows page -- in general and in the particulars.
Next ask them to click the link of a product they are familiar with. Then
get their reaction to the product page -- what works and what doesn't.
