Hello Ginny and Chris,
The IS-Home team is now looking at revamping the Help section of the IS web
site, starting at http://web.mit.edu/is/help/. We have already done some
preliminary usability surveys on this page.
As a team, we aren't very clear about your plans for the pages at
http://web.mit.edu/helpdesk/ and how they should fit in with our redesign.
There may also be issues of redundancy -- for example, two sets of pages
on Printing. We would like to invite you to attend one of our meetings, to
try to find a common ground for the Help pages. We would also like to get
your opinion on some of the ideas from our informal usability surveys
(e.g., an emphasis on stock answers, organization by platform/OS or
audience).
The IS-Home team meets on Fridays at 9:30am for about an hour. Could you
make a meeting at that time? If so, could you join us next week or on
Friday, October 1? If Friday mornings are out for whatever reason, could
you suggest some other days and times that might work?
