Hello everyone,
Kris is out tomorrow and I don't think the is-home team has any burning
issues, so let's take a break and not meet tomorrow (9/10).
Here is the assignment we agreed on at last week's meeting. Let's be ready
to discuss our results at the September 17 meeting:
Please do two informal usability surveys with MIT people outside of IS (one
with an average user, one with someone more technically savvy). The topic
is the main IS Help Page (http://web.mit.edu/is/help/). First, before
having the user look at the computer screen, ask what he or she would
expect to find on this page. Next show them the current page and get their
reaction to it -- in general and in the particulars. Remember that you are
there as a recorder, not to justify the page or comment on it.
