Hi Robyn,
Thank you for organizing the new-computing page. I am taking Fridays off,
so I won't be able to join the is-home team this morning. I would like to
take the computing page and format it, sometime next week, for publication.
In order for Kris and others to be able to update the page, I'll give you
rights to the final directory. I am very comfortable with the fact that
this computing page is separate from the IS services page.
We have gotten email from outsiders lately, asking about the "cool" things
MIT is doing with computing. This brings up the question again about our
responsibility in providing some gateway to neat pages elsewhere. I know
that the team's interviewing of the MIT community highlighted they see the
computing page as an internal resource, but I'm caught in a bind and may
have to point to some cool computing pages in the future, as well as
pointing to the SIPB page.
This plan should not hold up the publication of the page, it's an eventual
growth path.
