Hi,

I looked into the Print pages a bit more closely and my be able shed some
light on the subject. "Printing to Athena Printers for Windows 95" was a
document written 3-4 years ago by a student before IS or the Help Desk had
any documentation on the subject. Basically it describes how to Print
from Windows 95 to a printer that uses the Athena print servers. Printers
that utilize the Athena Print Servers can be set to restrict access,
authenticated by kerberos. Apparently, the document instructions also
work for PCs running Windows NT.

The "Windows NT Network Printing" page includes a section on "Printing to
Athena Printers" which was adapted from the Jeremy Nimmer document. It
also includes sections on printing to non-Athena (do no use Athena print
servers/non-kerberos) network printers, appletalk printers, NT workgroup
printers. I guess the reason why this page (Windows NT Network Printing)
does not include Windows 95, is because Windows 95 isn't officially
supported by IS.

One other thing I noticed is that on:

http://web.mit.edu/is/services/list.html#printing

The "Athena" and "Printing from Athena (AC-18)" both link to the same
page. Should "Athena" go somewhere else? Maybe it should point to
"http://web.mit.edu/is/help/printing/basch.html" the "Athena Printing
System" and remove the "Athena Printing System" 3 links below.

Thanks!

Mark
