hi,
just spoke with jeff. he has put up a new version of the certificate
server, which solves the occasional problems of passwords with
non-alphanumeric characters being rejected that we have been seeing this
last week. the passwords were being url-encoded by netscape (i.e. !
becomes %21). a bad password error now almost definitely indicates that
the user is really entering an incorrect password.
