Howdy all,
Once again I have a version of the Product Support Sheets up on the web. This time, the sheets are based on live feeds from FileMaker (like the Training, Pubs, User Groups, and SAP Stock Answers info) rather than static pages generated some time earlier from FileMaker. To get to the listings:
http://web.mit.edu/is/products/test/
(This redirects you to the training.mit.edu server...)
Things to note:
* THIS IS STILL VERY OLD DATA. I haven't put in recent data (the Pubs folks have been submitting revised info for several months, but I haven't moved it in yet).
* THE LISTS OF PRODUCTS ARE MERELY ALPHABETICAL, NOT IMPLEMENTED AS PLANNED. My plan is to have the initial listings of products to come in several flavors, in particular a Supported Products (by platform) list , which could supersede the Desktop products pages that Mary Ellen maintains... (If you will recall, I already had non-live versions of these listings some time ago, but I seem to have misplaced them, so I can't demo that feature right now.)
* Some pages that illustrate the features:
- Eudora (show Pubs)
- FileMaker (shows User Groups)
- SAP (shows Stock Answers)
Why am I re-introducing this material at this time?
1) to show the live-from-FileMaker part in reality, to give a feel for the real time it takes to pull together the listing...
2) to allow review of the product summary page (i.e., allow us to review the fields/layout of the pages that get returned when you look up a particular product). The IS Home Pages team has expressed an interest in seeing these pages...
Enjoy,
