Greetings everyone,

The IS- Home team would like help in defining criteria for entries on an IS
Services page, which will be a link off the IS gateway page at
http://web.mit.edu/is/

We would like to have a meeting that includes:

- one or more representatives from CWIS, to tap their experience in helping
groups map out their Web sites;

- one or more people from the Libraries, for their expertise in organizing
information (and for their viewpoint as customers of IS services);

- Jean Foster, to represent the realm of Academic Computing;

- Rob Smyser, from the BLT, who works a lot with administrative staff and
is aware of their concerns and information needs; and

- Gayle Willman in her role as an active Tech Partner.

We realize that some of you may not be able to make the meeting, but if
enough of you can come on the morning of October 9 (how does 9:30 sound?),
we will go ahead. If October 9 works, I will book a room in N42 and send
out a confirmation to those who can attend.

Kris Nyzio, Oliver Thomas, and Ginny Williams are already working as an IS
Home subgroup to develop a list of possible entries for the Services page.
This will be available at the meeting (and will probably also be available
for you to look at ahead of time as a draft page on the Web).

Please let me know if you can make the meeting.

Regards,
Robyn
