Hi Theresa,

I'm just back from my two-day usability course. It seems we did have a
misunderstanding about the release. I checked with Rob and Kevin about
pointing to the software server instead of net-dist for software that
requires certificates and they were comfortable on that score, except that
Rob thought it wasn't appropriate for Netscape. I told Kris to go ahead and
change the appropriate links to the software server and release the pages
on Wednesday as originally planned.

I understand there are some issues flying around at the moment, though at
this point I am still wading through my e-mail. I'm going to be in an
Operational Plan Alive meeting from 10 to 11:45 this morning, so won't be
able to address these issues until this afternoon.

Meantime, I have indicated to Kris that we should keep the new pages up for
the time being: even if there are additional changes, the current set of
pages is still significantly more accurate than the old set, so it makes no
sense to take the new set down.

I would like to make the point that the is-home team allowed a generous
amount of time for people to review these pages, so there is no reason for
hasty last-minute changes of plan.

Regards,
Robyn
