The Feb. 14, 1994 issue of "Library Hotline" has an article about
online testimonials:

"The American Library Association will take its campaign to collect
testimonials about how "Libraries Change Lives" online in 1994 (they
had these testimonials last year). Library supporters can send
their statements of support direct by electronic mail to
sup-lib@uicvm.uic.edu (The U. of Illinois houses the ALA archives,
so probably these testimonials will become part of the collection).

One presumes that the intent is to hear how Libraries Change Lives
for the BETTER. For example, Tim McGovern can talk about how
his association with Libraries has given him a great supply of
chamois cloth!
