In a following message you will receive the final agenda for the
interview session with NOTIS Systems, Inc. this Thursday and
Friday, July 29-30.

All staff are encouraged to attend the opening presentation by
NOTIS. This will be held in the electronic classroom, 1-390. If
you haven't visited this facility before, it is an excellent
example of integrating technology into the traditional classroom.

We also encourage you to attend the focused sessions which
investigate more closely the specific functions of the system.
These sessions have been arranged by the functional groups which
compiled that portion of the RFP. In each session, the group
leader will guide the vendor through scenarios or discussions
about the specific system function (Acq., Circ., Cat., OPAC, etc.).
For those sessions with prepared scenarios, there will be a few extra copies
available for those who were not members of the functional group.
Given the tight scheduling of the sessions and the amount of information
to be covered, the group leader will focus closely on her/his specific
system function; if you are an observer in one of these
sessions please be mindful of these goals and restraints.

We want to know what you think about the systems under
consideration. The functional groups will be compiling their
evaluation reports. In addition, if you have comments,
preferences, or perspectives, please send them to Greg Anderson
(ganderso@athena, or 14S-216). I will compile them to help in
our evaluation process.

As the schedules for Innovative Interfaces (August 2 - 3) and
Geac Advance (August 5 - 6) are finalized, I will post them to
you.

Thank you for your participation in this important process.
