Building the Information Superhighway:
Ownership, Access and Services
American Society for Information Science - New England Chapter
May 5, 1993

The New England chapter of ASIS will be holding a Spring meeting to
discuss issues of access, ownership, and services in the emerging
national digital communications network. Vice-President Al Gore has
called the network the "Information Superhighway," an implicit link
to the building of the national highway system in the post-World
War II era.
Representatives from industry, the academic community, civic
foundations, information providers and networking companies will
address the meeting to share the perspective of their organizations
and their constituents. Please join us for an engaging day of
presentations and many opportunities to interact with the speakers
and your professional colleagues.
