Hi,
We were teaching a class for consultants on Eudora 3.0.2 and we were trying
to have them install it. They all got the following error, some
immediately and some after a minute or so:
An error occurred communicating with the ftp server during the file "kclient"
command:
server response:
error code = 101 - error opening network stream
7 people were trying to run the installer at the same time at 5:30 this
evening. They tried a few times more and continued to get the error. Then
we stopped, and I spoke to Jeff Schiller and he cleared something up. Then
just one computer tried to install eudora and it got about half way, and
then tgot the error again.
When she tried to do the installation again, it started completely over
and was unable to realize that it had gotten pretty far before. This could
be very, very frustrating over Tether.
I need suggestions both for being able to teach this in a class - running
through the installation is very useful, but doesn't seem to be feasible,
also, the fact that the installation starts from the begining again could
be very frustrating for Tether users.
Thanks,
Alicia
