Hello,
My name is Mike Harder, and I work at the computing helpdesk.
We have quite a few people experiencing problems with the LPR print spooler
in Windows NT 4.0. We are also experiencing the same problem on our
NT machines here at the helpdesk. The problem is that you can send
one job to an athena printer fine, but if you immediately try to send
another job to the same printer you get the error message:
KWLPR2.DLL Error: Requested service not supported by server, or network
exception occured
You also get this error if you try to check the remote status of the printer
immediately after the first print job. After about 5 minutes, LPR
spooler will start working again.
Please let us know what we should tell clients when they call with this
problem.
