Hi,
I'm trying to do a clean install of Kerberos in my computer. My PC is a
Pentium 75MHz with 24Mb of RAM, running Windows 95, and connected to MITnet
through East Campus with IP address 18.238.0.164
I'm using the MINK installer which can be found at
http://web.mit.edu/is/help/mink . However, MINK fails with the following
error message:
"NetInstaller: FTP connection failed. Error code 2001.
"There was an error during the file transfer from the server. Contact
somebody to help you.
"Aborting installation due to FTP error."
Note that other network applications work fine in my computer, including
Netscape, Finger, MS Internet Explorer, WS_FTP, etc. The problem that I'm
experiencing seems to be related to MINK and not to the network layers in
my computer.
I'm writing to ask if you could provide me with an explanation of what
"Error code 2001" means. I've tried running MINK several times (+10) during
different days, but the same error appears consistently.
Please feel free to provide a technical explanation of the problem as I'm a
Junior in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Thanks in advance

Useful info:
1. The file Minkftp.log is empty after installation is aborted.
2. The file c:\net\mit\mink.log contains the following (even though the
files listed from c:\net\mit\leash.exe to c:\net\mit\kerb16.exe are not
found anywhere after installation is aborted. After MINK failed, I
specifically asked it to preserve any files copied/ftp'd into my computer).
