I'm happy to oblige, but I'll keep it very brief:
I'm Stuart Staniford-Chen, I'm a researcher working on Intrusion Detection
and Internet tracing/backtracking at UC Davis. We are the group that
developed the NSM (now NID) and the original prototype of DIDS (now being
developed by Trident Data Systems), though both projects were before my
time here. We're currently working on a project (funded by ARPA) to
develop an intrusion detection system for a wide area network.
