It doesn't normally have enough volume for a newsgroup. It's normally a
really low volume mailing list, with a recent upsurge for two reasons, one
I mentioned the list as a possible place to discuss Satan on the firewalls
list. Brent wanted the discussion off of firewalls. That started a wave
of new people finding out about ids and telling others, so now we see a
lot of new introductions. The other reason is because we've recently been
the victim of a mail loop that's sending stuff back to the list. If you
wait for three weeks after Satan comes out it will die down again.
