The change to the dialup servers to prohibit x connections has
been rescheduled from Tues Aug 4 to ** Tues Aug 11 **
Notification is posted on the dialup and global motds. Here's
the info from the gmotd,
[Mon Aug 3]
Starting on ** Tuesday Aug 11 ** most Athena dial-up servers will no
longer allow the use of X applications. In order to make this change
all dial-up servers will be taken out of service for ~20 minutes
Tues Aug 11 between 6:00 - 6:30am.
And the dialup motd,
Starting on ** Tuesday Aug 11 ** most Athena dial-up servers will no
longer allow the use of X applications. In order to make this change
all dial-up servers will be taken out of service for ~20 minutes
Tues Aug 11 between 6:00 - 6:30am.
After this time any user that wants to use X on a dial-up server can
do so by specifying 'athena-x' at the CPT prompt.
