I called 3-1500 regarding this shutdown and the short notice. I [eventually]
spoke with Mary Files. She said the outage is not a power outage, but a _cooling_
outage.
She wants ok on the following outages,
(These are all fine with me. Can someone from jeff's group get back
to 3-1500 if these are ok with you folks. thx.)
- M3, 4th floor, cooling, Jul 20, 10am-10:30am.
- M38, all floors, cooling, Jul 21, 7:00am-1:00pm. One cooling
fan will be running instead of two.
- E17-711, cooling, Jul 21, 7:00pm - 7:00am
I have called "jerry", the user listed below. I told him it
was cooling not electrical, and his workstations would probably
not need to be shutdown.

A person called concerning a power outage on July 20 from 10:00am to 10:30am
at building 3.
They have some athena workstations that they would like to shutdown and they
would like to know how one goes about in doing that. Also, there is a athena
cluster in 3-462 that they were wondering who would go an shutdown those
computers. The other workstations belong to Prof. Hogan 3-449d and Prof. Slotine
3-449c. The person to get in touch with is Jerry 8-5807.
