I would go ahead and get the disk drive formatted or replaced.  
They have backed up their data.  So lets kick out the jams and
get the motha fixed.

Hiya.

We had over a dozen hard errors on Adam's ra2c disk in the past month.  Two
days ago we cleaned up the disk and backed it up, and immediately
started getting more hard errors.  We think that the disk is going bad
the same way we had one go bad last year.
