After apparently doing the 7.0 update, a P-vax that I had been using as a
private workstation now will not complete its rc boot script. It has been
stuck for approx. 22 hours (since noon on Mon 6/25) at the step that says
'scanning for AFS cache.'
I talked to Rita at the hotline yesterday, and she told me that some machines
can stay at this step for several hours. Is 22 hours still within the expected
range? If not, is there anything I should or can do to put this machine back in
service?
The machine in question belong to Prof. Igor Paul, and it is 3-461b-1, in Bldg
3, Rm 461b.
Thanks for your help.
