Transforming a Sun SparcStation into an Athena machine

I was referred to you by the consultant at OLC. I'd like to know if it
is feasible and reasonable to convert my Sun SparcStation (lispe1.mit.edu)
into an Athena machine.
Another option presented to me is to obtain the AFS and Kerberos software
and install them on my Sun, thus giving me access to my Athena lockers but
not having to go through the whole process of conversion into an Athena work-
station.
Do you have an idea as to which of these paths is most reasonable, cost-
effective, and generally, doable?
My primary objective is to be able to seamlessly access (read & write)
Athena lockers such as my home directory and my departmental directory
on server m66-070-s.
