Telecommunications Systems was just advised by New England Telephone Co.
that they will be performing a software update on the Bent Street
Central Office early tomorrow morning, May 20th. This office provides
local service to the MIT community and during the update there may be a
momentary loss (45 seconds or less) of inbound and outbound calls to and
from the local calling area (617 area code). Long distance service and
on-campus service will be unaffected by the update.
