There's something wrong with m11-113-2.
First, when I tried to login, it hung. After I typed my username and
password, no windows came up, not even the console window. Just the X
default background. After a few minutes, I rebooted it. I
unfortunately didn't see if there were any error messages.
Anyway, once it finished rebooting I tried to login. It was kinda
weird. Certain things in my customization were read, but some weren't.
E.g. mwm came up, though I have twm as my window manager. None of my
xterms were able to start because I need x11r5 xterm, and the lines that
attach x11r5 apparently didn't work in ~/.startup.X. So I started up an
Emacs (gave me "Error in init file") and tried to start an xterm from
there. No luck; no Emacs packages would start (trying M-x shell gave an
error about shell.el not defining the function it was autoloading), and
when I finally used `start-process' to run the xterm, the xterm died
with "Couldn't exec /afs/sipb/project/tcsh/tcsh!".
All in all, very strange. Looks like a weird AFS problem...
