garfield, an RT 6150 in E40-342, is dead (won't boot, software reinstall
fails).
I think it is a disk problem. I reformatted drive 0 and tried to reinstall
software, but the install failed. When "newfs" wrote the filesystem to the
disk, it appears some data was lost because other programs did not think
there was a filesystem.
RT diagnostics hang with code 39 on the LED display.
Suggested action: replace disk controller, then replace drive 0 if it still
can not be installed.
The DEC maint. sticker number is 65.
