What does periodically freezing up mean? What is the user doing when
the workstation exhibits the "freezing up?" We really don't have
enough info to go on.

I checked the messages generated from this workstation since Mar 30. I
didn't noticed anything unusual.

Getting some "timeout polling for end-of-frame interrupt" messages is
normal. Getting 100s over, say 1 hr, would not be considered normal.
The AFS errors you mentioned are also normal. Here what the /usr/adm
messages file looks like on my workstation. These messages are ok.
