Hi, I got your message on my answering machine, requesting that I try
again to read a DOS disk on ic3-462-6.
I've tried to read a DOS-formatted disk in the floppy drive on ic3-462-6
and it behaves just the same as before. The "dosread" program exits with
the error message "could not read FAT" and the message "sd2:HARD ERROR:
compare error" appears in the console window. The same disk can be read
on, for instance, ic3-462-7, which is another VS3100 that sits next to
ic3-462-6. Of course the disk can also be read on my PC at home.
Incidentally the phone number where you left the message is my home. In
general I would prefer that you contact me at my office, 3-2334, if
possible. Also I usually get messages at the office faster than those at
home.
