Portnoy was logging hard errors. I brought the machine up in single
user mode and ran fsck manually. It failed. Here is the error
encountered when it hit /site (copied by hand from console)
HD: Hard Dis I/O Error
hd: hd0g bn=62941 Status=0x40 <DATA-CRC-ERROR>, 0x40 <STATUS-VALID>
ErrA=0x60b ErrB=0x220
This is the site partition. I suspect it might be a good idea to
re-format the disk, considering previous problems.
SIPB types:
I had shabby start up a websterd on pit-manager, so webster is
running for now. I have left portnoy out of commission.
