Hello All,
Nicole from Physical Plant has notified the Hardware Hotline and
reported the temperature monitoring (computer) system will be down
Wed, 3/11, 10am-1pm. This means all the A/C units will continue to
run, but if there is a failure, they will not be notified via the
machines. Problems will need to be reported via telephones.
The "big" buildings affected are main campus and the student center.
(So, W20, barker, 11, 14s, 16, 37, and 66- are Athena Clusters that
will be affected.)
The work being done is upgrading main-memory core of their computer
system.
We'll need to keep an eye out for these room temperatures during the
'down' period.
Thanks,
Rita (Athena Hotline)
ps- If you have any questions, please call Nicole at the Operations
Center at 3-1500.
