On the new IBM RS 6000s (with Emacs running), the Backspace key is mapped
to DEL, and shift-Backspace is mapped to DEL, but *when Caps Lock is on,*
Backspace is mapped to ^H. (The Delete key is still mapped to DEL.)
Go figure.
