this decstation was recently returned to 9-526.
i tried to use it friday, but it failed to function.
the first symptom was that it 'froze' (ie did not respond to mouse, keyboard,
or network).
when i attempted to reboot it, it behaved as follows:
1. it failed immediately after the 'Ultrixboot ..' message
2. it did that a second time (autoboot is enabled)
3. the third time it got past the 'Ultrix Worksystem' message, but
produced a message from 'ufs_swapconf' that it could not open
'swap device (8,9)'
4. went into single user mode.
