Checking disks on NFS servers this week

Hi Everyone,
In order to check for bad disk blocks on the NFS servers (so, if we
find some, we can get them taken care of during the software update),
we'll be doing a lot of disk reading this week. Yesterday, we checked
disk 3 on atlas, aphro, cyrus, talos, themis, and odysseus. Today, we're
checking the disk 2 on all of them, plus disk 1 on hecate.
I expect the checking to take from about 9am until about noon each
day, from today through Friday. The checking might slow performance some,
so if lots of people complain loudly about the performance...please let
Kim or me know. Again, I expect the testing should be finished by noon
each day.
