My 9332/450 Athens drive on my RT is DEAD.
Quite simply, its internal controller seems to be flakey; it will
randomly reset itself or go into "scribble" mode and destroy all the
data on the drive. The problem is that the problem with the drive is
intermittent, but because of its disastrous effects, it is unacceptable.
Diagnostics are useless.
A replacement would be ideal. Most of the problems started occurring
after moving into my new office, and I suspected that the first couple
of days, before they extended the ventilation hours on this floor, that
it was suffering from thermal wear. Let's just say I complained loudly
when I noticed my office was getting above 90 degrees because of the
lack of overnight ventilation. However, from what I can tell, it was
still within operating parameters.
