SIPB discuss server charon outage Monday night

On Monday night 12/29/2003 between 10pm and 2am there will be an
outage of SIPB server charon (AKA: bloom-picayune, picayune, charon2,
irc, lnf, sipb-nfs). During this outage all services on charon will
be unavailable, including most discuss meetings hosted by SIPB.
During this outage charon will be upgraded to newer hardware and
software. Additionally, the IRC server will be decommissioned. If
all goes well, charon will be back before midnight, however, the extra
time between midnight and 2am has been scheduled due to the complexity
of the upgrade.
