Hi,
   This workstation,

	rt sn#:	26-0002721
room:	9-550, right next to 'crl' ln03 printer

has frozen several times with a screen image of the login window that is all
broken up all over the display, like little fragments of the image were thrown
to the left or right or blown apart.

When I boot the machine, the text display is almost fine except for some random
pixels that show up across the lower half of the screen. These same pixels are
lit right now while i use the machine to type this note.

When this sort of thing happens on PCs it is a sign that the display adapter has
gone flakey, with bad graphics RAM or whatever. I think the same is going on
here.

It doesn't fail catastrophically on demand, but I can demonstrate the nagging
display defects, and I bet they're linked to the cause of the major failure.

Hope we can fix this one fast too!

Thanks!
Rob Smyser
